The Moss Vale Community Garden (MVCG) was invited by CANWin (Climate Action Now! Wingecarribee), to participate in their Flotilla; which was made up by a dozen or so Wheel Barrows. Each wheel barrow had to be made up to represent Sustainability and Ecological issues. Since the MVCG prides itself on Sustainability, we could not resist the invite.
I would like to thank out sponsor for the day Knowles Stockfeed & Trading Co, for the supply of one bail of hay for the event. It is truly great to see our local businesses getting behind us in full support. Please help us, by supporting them; they are located at Shed 10 Industrial Centre Berrima Road Moss Vale, they can supply you with all your feed needs for live stock and also pets.
The MVCG was represented by Kathi Hearne and Paul Teeuwen-Green (2IC MVCG). Special thanks goes out to Kathi Hearne for braving the chilly winds and for helping me with the setup and packing up of our barrow for the day. I would also like to put out a special thanks to my fabulous wife Lorraine Teeuwen-Green, from the entire team at the MVCG, for painting the fantastic signs with our new logo on them. And thank you to our team at the MVCG for transplanting and care of the pot plants that we used for the day, as these where treated like babies and really showed through on the day.
Our goal of getting the MVCG out in the public face was quite successful. Our new logo has taken us to the next level, with sum fantastic comments make by the general public and other local community groups. On the day we also had our new MVCG Shirts on show with our logo on the front and back, everybody loved them. During the parade Kathi and I heard a lot of people commenting about the MVCG and some asking where it was, which Kathi was very quick to tell them where we are situated, go team.
